Lovely location. Gorgeous views. Hosts very friendly and professional. Apartment amazing. Lovely food. - Nigel M
We had a lovely few days at The Mariners staying in the BEER apartment, with a lovely sea view balcony. It had everything we needed and more, including a well equipped kitchen and not just a shower room with WC but another separate toilet. It was a real home from home, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.Do note it is on two levels, bedroom and shower room downstairs, open plan lounge/kitchen upstairs (with the handy extra toilet) making the most of the views. The advantage of the apartment was we could do some of our own meals (Tesco is in walking distance) but also choose to eat breakfast or have an evening meal in the restaurant (no dinners served on Tuesday or Thursday). All the food was very good but especially the breakfasts, which were cooked to order and delicious. Beware, the full English is huge so you may want to ask for a smaller serving. We parked up and didn’t move the car until we left, making use of the nearby bus services. There is even an EV charging point. It’s a really good spot to explore the area, including the Wetlands, the Seaton Tramway and along the coast path (or by bus) the pretty village of Beer, with it’s interesting Beer Quarry Caves. Also don’t forget the Donkey Sanctuary, near Sidmouth, which has free entry.Lisa and Dean are perfect hosts and have done everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.- Wendy B
